STS Grill.... Emblem broke... Need Suggestions

Hey guys,

The emblem on my 97 STS Grill is missing the leaves.

I've hear conflicting stories of when Cadillac went to the new style.. was it '97? My N* engine cover displays the emblem with the 2 stems at the bottom. So I'm guessing my grille had the SAME when it was new?

Any idea on how to repair / where to find the Emblem?

My 95 Eldo and 00 Seville SLS have the old style logo. I am going to say they changed in 01 or 02.

Probably was '01 then. Some reference told me '97 was the change over.. I highly DOUBT it.

Well, anyone got a good 92-97 STS Grille with emblem intact????

The change took place in 02. Your talking about to the current shaved looking emblem, right. We went to that in 02. I think it was initially introduced in 2000 but didnt get onto cars until 2002

There are three of them on eBay, but they are brand new OEM and cost $250. I saw a black one, a green one , and a white diamond one. The parts fiche for the 98 cars shows the crest and leaves as separate part numbers...you should be able to order just the leaves from the dealer. The fiche says $22.07, but that is probably old information.

96 was an interior redesign for the cars
98 was a complete change for the seville
00 the n* was redesigned
01 new duckless emblem came out

What Critera did you use to search for the grilles? I used "Cadillac Seville "

I think I'm gonna try to get a bit resourceful here and use one of the roof/ trunk emblems and MAKE it fit the 97 STS Grille... Anyone ever tried that????
