Coachbuilders has full ladder frame braces under the car from the front wheel wells to the back on both sides, real beefy & they make great jack points as well. In the trunk, they have welded in bracing as well as under the back seat. The doors close with a solid "thud" & the top works flawlessly. They will still convert an Eldo, but now they focus on the 4 door deville conv. w/no roll bar & a Chrysler 300 4dr. conv as well. I've seen a couple of devilles but never a 300, except on their website. I notice that the top latch handles & top motor itself are identical to those on my '75 Pontiac GrandVille Brougham conv, old GM tried & true parts.

Your wife's car is definately a beaut, but I've wondered, what is the difference in this roofline, also done by Coach Builders LTD?
I guess it's the difference between having a soft snap-on cover and the hard flip-up hard cover yours has instead, correct? This fuller roofline definately looks a little better, IMO, but the hard cover is more attractive to have from a functional and "finished off" standpoint. |

I liked your Impala wheels on your FW so much, along w/Elias's, that I am working on a set in chrome for my wagon, which needs tires anyhow. My dad is getting the current chrome ones for one of his 3 '96 RM's. |

On the roofs, I just did assume that after looking at a few Ebay ads and seeing mention of both the hard and soft boot models, and what they were. The hard boot, like yours, is definately more finished off. Is the hard cover piece motorized, or do you just manually open and close it? |

That is a very nice conversion. Funny thing, I saw one like it about a week ago here in St. Louis, in diamond white with mustard & mayo's on it, nearly a dead ringer for the one you posted. I'd imagine it must have been done by the same outfit. I didn't get time to stop and admire it up close, but from where I was it looked like a class job.
Definately an exclusive club you belong to with that beauty. I wonder how many are actually out there? Given the rather low productions numbers on the Eldo to begin with (vs. the STS and Deville lines) probably only a handful.
Anyway, congrats on an outstanding and rare vehicle.
