This message stays a few seconds and reappears again again. The code was "Code RS 0037 Current".
Can you please expand this code.
Thanks so much

It was the first year of OBD-II so the codes are actually a mix of OBD-II and OBD-I codes.

New active struts are in the $700-900 EACH range.
There are methods (vary with each year/model) to eliminate this message; some are changing parameters in the diagnostics, some add a relay in the trunk.

This is a problem with the exhaust vavle in the ELC compressor. Usually the short to B+ would be internal to the valve. I'm not sure, but I think you can buy that part of the compressor that the valve is in separately from the whole compressor itself. |

Does B+ means short to battery positive? Where is the ELC compressor located? Is it common or is ELC compressor separate for each wheel?
Thanks

It's located on top of the rear crossmember on the passenger side. And Yes I think B+ is Battery positive. |

The only thing that might happen is the rear end might end up raised into the air after a while. Not really dangerous, just funny looking. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
