Anybody know of any discount codes that we can use when ordering struts from Arnott?? Or a cheaper place to get them other than Arnott themselves?

Not trying to be cheap or anything, that's just the way I am....

Re: Arnott Struts

I paid full price from arnott....could not find any way around it...and its still about 75% les then the dealer.
Well worth it by the way, I was extremely impressed with their internal staff, and their desire to make sure I was totally satisfied

Re: Arnott Struts

Mine work great that I got at Autozone. I paid $70 each. There are directions on how to get the ride control light to go off on the forum. Cost $1 for resistors. Total cost is $150. Arnott, if I recallc cost $450. You are paying $300 for the set of $1 resistors. Mine rides fine.

I see comments like this all the time, but no one ever puts a part number in the post. What is the part number for the ones at Autozone? Who makes them?

Re: Arnott Struts

Just go to autozone.com and look. If you want me to do it sure...
GABRIEL_ULTRA Strut (Front) G56508 $69.99
GABRIEL_HI_JACKERS Air adjust shocks (Rear) 49228 $61.99
That easy boys.
No, the rear does not level. I have not done the rear struts and hopefully will not have to.

Re: Arnott Struts

My understanding of the rear ELC system is that replacement air shocks will indeed self level if your air compressor and air exhaust are functioning properly. But you will have lost all reactive handling.

Re: Arnott Struts

not sure about the autozone solutions, but with the arnott solution dooman is right, active handleing is gone, auto leveling still exists...its the way to go

Re: Arnott Struts

I have just run across the settings to disable the ride control on my 1994 SLS (I think it would work on all obd-1) How to Disable the CCR System?. I have done this to my car and it definitely works (at least for me it did).

I have found differing numbers for the Monroe sensa-matic struts for this vehicle. I see both 71854 and 71822 and both are different lengtht and have different compession length. Can someone verify which strut would be the correct one or tell me the length and compressed length of the stock strut and I can figure out which one.

I prefer the fast-strut assembly as my car has 110,xxx miles and am going to replace springs anyway. Thnks for any info.
