    96 sts occasional start problem

I have a 96 sts that has only twice in 2 months failed to start. It happened to my wife in vegas. When it happens all the lights and everything works. it just won't do any thing to engage the starter. Then it will miracliously start after 30 minutes or so. It happend to me once and it started after 1 hour or so. So you see that the car will start 99 out of 100 times or more. Never failed to start when the car is cool. The battery cable was replaced recentley, before that it would not start at all at the tune of 375.00. Any ideas on that one?
