Power Steering Turkey baster Flush with Mobile 1 Synthetic ATF YES?NO?

2001 Eldorado.

As preventative maintenance I am interested in doing several "Turkey Baster" flushes of the power steering system with synthetic Mobile 1 ATF.

No problems to solve just preventative maintenance.

I would like to use a synthetic Power Steering Fluid but can't find any quarts around here. I believe that Mobile 1 ATF will be a superior fluid and completely compatible? What do you think?

Thanks EDBSO

sounds like a waste of time. if you want to do a good flush, remove the low pressure line going to the cooler and point it into a one gallon bottle/bucket. Have a second person start the engine, puor new fluid in as the old comes out. Have other person turn wheels lock to lock. If you live in a cold climate, I would use GM cold climate fluid. If not use regular. If you really want synthetic, I think Valvoline makes one.

That's how I took care of my 96 Eldorado. Not the most scientific method but it did the trick. Be prepared to keep doing it throughout the weeks. It will take a while until you get a good flush. I used Valvoline Synth because it met the GM requirements.
