Four note Horn

I have a 98 eldo and I want the classic 4-note horn. Anyone know where I can find one? Is the horn from another model, Deville, interchangeable with mine? Thanks.

Re: Four note Horn

Any GM OEM horn(s) will work with your relay. Mounts may vary.

Re: Four note Horn

Hello...

Here are the OEM horns:
F-note #D1922C (see #12368064) low
A-note #D1925C (see #12368063) high
Horn relay #15-8571(see#12088567)

Here's what I bought to accompany the horns already in my 2000 Seville

D-note #D1923C
C-note #D1925C (high C)

I'll probably work on these horns this week.

Post back any details if you decide to install.

Re: Four note Horn

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but PMing is disabled until I get 50 posts.

Just wondering how this came out for you Eldawgg, I'm attempting this in my 99 seville tomorrow, I stole the D and C note horns off of my buick and plan on installing them in the cadillac.

Re: Four note Horn

Hello...

Turns out the donor horns are bad and I haven't been to the boneyard to pick up another set yet.
I have posted horn diagrams in another thread.

I had almost forgotten about doing this...thanks for the reminder!
Post back your solution.

Re: Four note Horn

Well I couldnt make it work. The horns themselves must be different in some way. First I wired one new horn into an existing one, giving a three horn setup. I tested the horn and I heard the relay click, but no horn. Checked the fuse panel and it cooked the 15A fuse. So I put a 20A in, thinking, okay, more horn, that added a resistor, and its a parallel circuit, so the amps have to be stepped up to compensate. I tried a 20A fuse, and it cooked that too, then a 25A fuse. Fuses arent exactly the cheapestthings around, so I disconnected my added horn and it worked again with a fresh 15A fuse.

Rather than figure out this headache I'll drop 25 and get a train horn from JC whitney. THe horn isn't bad in the caddy, but when your used to sounding like a train, you miss it
