I'm not comparing Hyundai's cars to the Cadillac V-Series - just Cadillacs in general.. The Hyundai Azera is a mid 6-second car to 60.. They're a little quicker than the 300 horsepower STSs, ETCs, DTSs, etcetera...

Its the feeling you get while driving your caddy. Caddy's will still get the looks over the hyundais, even if it is faster.

Re: 300 HP is not what it used to be.

And to the Hyundai thing.....in the end your riding a Hyundai and I'm riding a Cadillac end of story. You can always put $50,000 into a Civic to make it beat a Viper, but in the end hes got a Civic and you got a Viper, guess whos going to take the girl home that night?

Re: 300 HP is not what it used to be.

Agree with 727 on that one. If I wanted to have something wicked fast, I'd buy a Mustang like every other white trash white kid around here. I opted for the Cadillac...it's a little less fast, but the feeling you get saying "Yah, I gotta Cadillac" is a whole lot better then "Yah, I gotta Mustang..."

I disagree there, my ETC is quicker than every mustang I've raced....

Re: 300 HP is not what it used to be.

Eh, newer GTs with someone behind the wheel that can drive will beat an ETC or STS by some.

Re: 300 HP is not what it used to be.

Mustang= immature, somewhat annoying, cop magnet, kid car, with a TON of aftermarket for V8

Eldorado= suave, sexy, mature, luxurious, dignity, adult car without a lot of aftermarket

Re: 300 HP is not what it used to be.

Hi everyone, this is my first time here. I want to say that with a little tuning, cold air intake, and supercharger, the eldog can surpass 400 hp easilly...

Yeah, nothing major... just a LITTLE tuning...

A SUPERCHARGER??? Little tuning? What planet are you from??? Where do you plan on getting this supercharger and all of the other little things that go along with it for a proper installation? And what do you think a "cold air intake" will do? Do a little research and you'll find that it does nothing for the N*

Re: 300 HP is not what it used to be.

An Azera has 263hp, and weighs in over 3600lbs. It will do 0-60 in the mid-high 6s yes, but it's still only good for 15.2 in the 1/4 from the 2 tests I just saw thanks to google. It's also apparently drag limited to 145. I wouldn't say that's as fast as an STS/ETC pulling 14.7-14.9s, running at 150+, and having similar 0-60 times... I mean it's not SLOW by any means but I disagree that it's faster than an ETC/STS. It should be fairly comparable to a DTS although I still believe the DTS would win at the strip.

Re: 300 HP is not what it used to be.

Are you kidding me? Cadillac Eldorados and Sevilles were not designed for speed or handling for that matter. These are luxury cars in every respect and only that. The 300HP N is a perfect match for the cars. They don't need modification. My Eldo is stock in every detail and I would never change it. If I want to go 155mph and smoke vettes, I uncover the M3. Caddys are fragile in comparison and need to be pampered. If not, you'll pay later. Been there.
