    Shift Selonoids

Just changed the selonoids in my 95 eldo. But still getting PO29.
I only have 2 nd. I'm going back in to check connections and
check balls. Is there any way to test them before I button it up?
Also I noticed on the shift module it was marked "shift module 1a
1/16/97." I bought this car used about 5 years ago so I don't
know if there was tranny work done on it. Will the selonoids for
    my 95 work in a 97?
    Thanks Mike

    The solenoids are the same.

When you opened the trans was it very dirty? There has been reference to dealers wanting to change the valve body because the internals can bind.

I believe there is a test for continuity to the solenoids...to insure they are connected, but I havn't done it. You'll have to refer to the manual for it.

I put it back together , same thing PO29 and PO94.
The check balls were fine and I even switched positions on the selonoids.

Just an idea but did you check the fuses? Possibly the old sol popped the fuse when it broke.

Bet you anything your problem is due to the fact that you didn't install the "L" braket that came with the solenoid update kit (it bolts into the valve body and holds the filter in place). Without the L bracket the filter will pop out and all the fluid will drain into the pan (instead of pressurizing the solenoids, which means the solenoids won't function and you get P029 & 94 all over again)...I too forgot to install the filter...After checking everything about 3 times I finally realized what the problem was....Good luck
