    Z speed rated 97 STS

For anyone out there who thinks a Z speed rating will make the difference in their lives, I found one on e-bay. Look at the door jam label. Good Luck and don't blame me when you lose your license.

It's better to have it & not need it than need it & not have it.

The STS has 147,000+ miles on it. Are you really going to take a car with that much mileage on the components (steering, front end, etc.) on a top speed run? I know N* engines are tough, but 147,000 is a lot of miles for any engine not to forget about the other parts of the car that are probably 9 years old! It's a package deal, not just about an engine guys!

Found an empty couple miles of highway last weekend so I took my '94 STS w/ 117k up to 145 before I had to let off.

Heck, as long as my caddy flies up too 100, thats all I need, if anyone wants to continue racing any faster I'll meet them on the track.I don't even intend on getting to 100mph but you floor the car at 60mph and no time your at 90mph by the time you get off the pedal your close to 100 thats fast enough for me.

It's nice knowing my 95 STS is Z rated, but I will never push it to it's limit. The last time I pushed a car past a hundred down an open road caused me two totaled cars when somebody pulled out in front of me and I couldn't stop in time.
