| Re: 98 Seville stalling when it rains.... Throw some clean water in a spray bottle. Pop the hood at night while it's dark, and spray a fine mist over the plugs. If you seen any arcing (however small it might be) than that's your problem. It's seems early, but it sounds liek it's time for you to buy new wires. Over time, the insulation can degrade causing the electricity to jump through the wire to ground (i.e. engine block,..ect). If it's bad enough, liek during a rain storm or whatever, it can arc bad enoguh to the point where there isn't enough voltage making it ot the plugs to jump the gap. Thats' why the engine is stalling. I have to say though, that having it completely stall out due to this is somewhat uncommon, but not unheard of. Those wires must be in pretty bad shape. Also, any wires other than AC Delco and you could be asking for trouble. Some people have had blower motors fail due to RFI from aftermarket wires. |
