Remove the strut cross brace. Removing the ICM and setting it aside will give you lots of room, though it is doable without it. Then pull the plug wires. It's easier than it looks.

I changed my plugs last year and it was quite easy once the coil pack was removed. Make sure when you put the coil pack back in that you don't pinch one of the spark plug wires.

I just did it two days ago on my 97 Seville. Its easy, just remove the coil pack and you will have more than enough room.

A real spark plug socket with the rubber insert to grab the plug instead of a reguler socket is real handy too.

Good point. Mine did not have the rubber insert to hold the plug in the socket. A length of heater hose will work great to get the plug started if your plug socket does not have the rubber insert. Just stick the plug in the hose and use it as an extention to start the treads.

You shouldn't regap the platinum plugs, they should come out of the box at .050. On my ETC I didn't move anything except the silver beauty cover... coils and strut tower brace stayed put. It was fairly easily actually, just had to use one extention.
