Ive found that the allantes look much better in person than in pictures... Still, one of the most special cadillacs made in recent history.

They are special cars, but can be very expensive to fix and get parts for! A friend of mine has one, and a window trim piece was over $100 USED! New parts aren't made, other than basic engine, chassis parts.
I would love a Allante, but I don't have the deep wallet to keep one up!

I think eventually there will be places that make parts for the allante eventually, like they did with older muscle cars.....

NPD, Classics Industries where are you? LOL!

You are right, someday they may make reproduction parts. But until then, it's hard to find parts.

I'd bet money against that... The Allante was too limited a run of cars for the Aftermarket to ever get into producing parts... These cars will eventually just fade away...

    Sad, they were awesome cars!

Neighbor of mine has one... Forest Green, Black Interior... Sweet ride, but the
inside is so old looking compared to the nice exterior. I always liked that car,
but when my neighbor stopped by one day to check out my STS, I sat in the
Alante and was... Ahh... well... Not impressed???? I don't know, perhaps I'm
too modern. CaddyDaddy makes a good point about servicing those bad boys!

    Just my $0.02

Re: Whoa!! N* in an Alante??

Ya i was looking at one and saw the ugly digital dash and other old style stuff like the buttons from a 90 seville. Wow, they really put parts into those cars that made it look 10 years older. I was driving around a 91 seville one day and it reminded me of a 82 buick. Such cheasy buttons and stuff. It did go pretty good with that 4.9L though, good thing i decided not to buy that.
