If the '03 uses the high beam bulbs in series for DRL, I think I can help you.

I can tell you how to do it on a '98 and if the wiring is the same for '03, it will work.

I pulled the DRL fuse in mine but I'm still getting them. If I turn the wipers on and they turn on, is that something seperate? I may be only getting them in the day when my wipers are on, I haven't paid that close of attention yet though.

    Re: day time running lights

I have a 2003 STS. I would believe the STS and SLS have the same DRL circuitry. I disabled mine by simply pulling the DRL fuse from the fuseblock that's located in the right side of the engine compartment.

The DRLs in 2003s are the highbeams.

This does not disable the lowbeams activating when you turn the wipers on.

    Re: day time running lights

I'm the opposite. I think they look dorky. Hence, I call them "DRLs, Dorky Running Lights".

Plus, the way GM implemented DRLs is horrible - using the high beams. All it does is annoy other drivers.

In any case, they are just plain dorky.

I think if you use the term "dorky" in a setence, it makes you "dorky" LOL

    True!!! LMAO!

In any case, I don't like to draw attention to my car, so the DRLs got tossed out.

I think it's a good equipment and I love DRL but I think for some anti-DRL lovers there should be a button to turn it on and off just like traction control button

They are run at 1/2 power, so they are not annoying to oncoming traffic like they would be at full power.

    Re: day time running lights

To idle your vehicle with the DRL off at night, turn off the Twilight Sentinel® and shift the transaxle into PARK (P). Placing your vehicle in PARK (P) disables the DRL. The DRL will stay off until you shift out of PARK (P).

To drive your vehicle with the DRL off, turn off the Twilight Sentinel® and manually turn on the parking lamps or fog lamps.
If you turn on the parking lamps and the fog lights, the DRLs will shut off.
So if you prefer it... do it.

Why do you want to disable them? There's a link to a few methods here: http://www.lightsout.org/disable.html#GMgen Try at your own risk.

The easiest is to look for the DRL fuse (if you have one), and take it out.
