That is sooooo sweet that I'm just sitting here on top of a pile of jealousy. And a great color too!

Yup, I'd have to agree with you: the Toronados and Eldorados of that era were simply classic. Let's don't however forget the Rivieras, especially the one(s) with the hidden headlights (1966?).

    Regards,
    Warren

Brings back memories Warren. I had a '69 Riv and a '73 Eldo. Man, those were cars.

Yeah, they were. We're giving away our ages here, but my first ultra big block luxury vehicle was a '71 MARK III. 460 cubic inches of dual exhaust four barrel (leathered) bucket seat 365hp. Stock. Mine, of course, was not stock.

If there is a G*d, and he smiles contentedly upon me, I'll buy another with my lottery winnings.

Torque? Hell, I gave it away on street corners I had so much of it. I remember getting on the parkway and merging to traffic without even downshifting to second. I just loved that Hoover vacuum cleaner sound that beast made when it was going for the gold.

    Regards,
    Warren

P.S. Did I ever mention that MGB I stuffed a small block Chevy and Torqueflight into? Yeah, it WAS fun.

Beauty! Love those cars... Love the shots of it too, in front of that deco/ mid-century-modern building, almost looks like they were taken 36 years ago. Very sharp.

That's funny. My first car was a 73 Lincoln Mark IV. That thing was huge. 16 yrs old and got a tank for a car.....That thing was a monster. Cuirse on the highway at 80 no problem. 10MPG. But 8 people in it to go to the beach!

I am 23 and know little about those old classics. How much would a 1970 El in that condition cost?
