My 91 eldo will not start. The engine turns over and it says that all monitored systems are OK. Then the battery light comes on and the check oil light comes on and the engine does not catch to start. I had the oil replaced three days ago and the battery was replaced about a week ago. 90K miles. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Matt |

Remove the cap and srew on the guage. Turn the key ON to energize the fuel pump and pressurize the fuel system and see what kind of pressure you have. Also see what it reads while cranking. Should be around 45 psi if memory serves me correctly. |

I have a similiar problem, it won't turn right away sometimes, I gotta hold it for a few seconds. I asked Dimmit Cadillac and they said the Battery Cables are either coroded or just very dirty. I think he said Coke and Baking Soda on them will clean them right up. Been too lazy to worry bout it. |

In that case, they need to be replaced. |

You should hear the pump run for about 2 seconds. If not, a fuel pressure guage on the fuel rail service port will confirm it. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
