Re: 99 STS fog light wattage?

The parts book calls for an 880 bulb. If they're still installed, pull the bulb and see what's marked on it.

Re: 99 STS fog light wattage?

Fog light bulbs for ’99 STS are 880 (50W). You need to unclip a portion of the splash shield in order to access the back of the fog light assembly from underneath.

Re: 99 STS fog light

How hard is it to take off the splash panel? Would I need to jack the car up, or could I just slide underneath it?

Re: 99 STS fog light wattage?

You might need to jack the car up at the front for room to move about, I had to do this early summer. It's easy to do, just remove the plastic push clips (the center of the clip pulls out). I had to remove over half the clips to allow room to get my hand in to remove / replace the bulb.

The bulb cost is about $9 - $15 bucks depending on brand and it's an 880 rated at 50W.
