Will this Head unit work with my car?

So i'm looking at these head units but the Seller is saying its a Bose head unit. Which if i remember correctly the Bose ones had BOSE on the bottom left? So i'm thinking its a base head unit and he clearly has no idea what the heck it is. So i'm wondering will this work with my 2003 SLS?

    Thanks in advance

So we are clear, I'm not selling anything, I'm not sharing this for people to buy just so i know if it works. If it's not okay just PM and i'll take it down.

    Not a Bose.

But a "factory refurbished" unit with a big scratch and a very not factory AUX input...

He has other units so no biggie. Our cars never came with a AUX port and that's why i'm looking at these because i want the stock head unit just with a AUX input.

No the AUX is great, I just don't trust sellers that "embellish" the description.

Yeah i hear that man, But i'm not good at doing that stuff and i'd rather have another unit just so if that one blows up i still have mine untouched. Thanks for the help Moist, Hows your STS doing?

For that price, you could have a shop install a hard wired AUX cable. Hide it in the glovebox or console, or the cubby hole under the HVAC controls is where I'd put it. Just another option.

The STS has been ok, thanks. Been liking the bigger front brakes. Since its even giving me a break mechanically, I think I'll have the pin striping redone fairly soon.

Yeah i could do that but i don't trust people with my car lol And this tech i know does side work away from the dealer. Yeah i saw that thread looked awesome! I'll be doing the same brakes just not bigger ones. Your car is turning out really nice, I hope mine can turn out like that. Any news on that Corsa screw up? I never checked back on that thread.

that is NOT a BOSE unit -
the other thing you must be concerned about -
is the YEAR of the car it came out of -

there were MAJOR changes to the electronics starting in 2002 -
that means a radio from an 01 Seville will NOT work in your 03 car -

    -------------

    for an ipod interface -
if you don't have - or don't use the 6-disc CD changer -
just get the adapter - and use that plug -
