Pull codes as described in sticky at top of forums, links to definition also there. If you post codes someone may be able to help.

    "Installed a new compressor"?

The PCM will disable the compressor to prevent damage to it if low refrigerant is detected. If that was the case before the replacement, then the low refrigerant DTC must be cleared to enable the compressor.
Did he clear any low refrigerant code?
Did he pull a vacuum before recharging the system?

He pulled the codes but there was not any low refrigerant code and he did pull a vacuum before recharging the system.

Clogged expansion orifice ??? Replace the tube.

Two wrenches, aluminum lines, careful. 18 lb/foot tight.

The right cap is the high side, left is low.

If it is clogged - no apparent flow/temperature change across the orifice - then perhaps the original compressor blew and contaminated the system. There's also a filter/dryer there - the can with sticker on top.

I don't think this is your problem but hopefully he replaced the orfice tube and dryer. Those two components are ALWAYS replaced when a new compressor is installed.

Where there any HVAC door actuator codes?

What are the A/C pressure readings?

    no a/c codes at all.
by dryer do you mean the accumulator?

Yes, the dryer is also called the accumulator.

If those are running pressures the low side is low, but the high side is WAAAAAAY low. It should be in the 175-200 range.

Make sure those are running pressures, big difference your looking for 35 to 45ish on the low side and 175 to 250 on the high side depending on the temp outside

    ----------

The best way is to remove all refrigerant and fill by weight, that is the most accurate[COLOR="Silver"]

I have switched to my account from my wifes...
I have the compressor working now without hot wiriring it.
I put a vacuum on the system and re-added coolant.
The low side is running at around 78 the high is about 100 at idle.
    26/105 @ 2k rpm

    ----------

    Outside temp 82

At some point the CF username monitoring system may trigger a multiple username warning - if you both use the same computer/phone.

Which username do you want to retain ?

Your refrigerant is still low ............

We have separate computers that we use to sign on with.

How do I get enough coolant in the system without over charging it?
What should the low side be at?

Re: No Air Conditioner - Installed new compressor - still no air

As posted, the (most) accurate way is to totally vacuum evacuate the system and add the exact 2.2# of refrigerant r134a.
