Well put, BUT, if the '05+'s are NOT "Sevilles" (and I'm not necessarily disagreeing), what does STS stand for?

According to GM press releases, S series Touring Sedan. The SRX was also an "S series" vehicle (both shared the Sigma platform).

    ----------

This isn't the actual press release that I've read, but Edmonds abbreviated version:

..."but this vehicle will go by the name SRX. Cadillac notes that it is the first of the company's S-series models — the second will be the 2005 STS, the replacement for the Seville"...

    what does STS stand for?
    absolutely nothing -
the same way 2005+ DTS no longer has anything to do with a Deville -
or CTS - XLR - XTS - these never got a "real name"
just 3 random letters that someone thought sound good together -

OK, that sounds logical though I never understood this "Sigma" thing, but then that begs the question what does DTS stand for?

    EDIT:
Looks like Bass answered it and confirmed my suspicions.

It depends on the sound you want. That's all it'll be, don't plan on any power gains. Even the Corsa system, completely flow through and mandrel bent, will only get you ~16 WHP. Nothing you can even notice.

People put Northstars into other cars all the time. Fieros, sand rails, even hottods.

There IS am aftermarket, a small one, for Northstar engines. They can be modified fairly easily. However, modifying them while they're still functioning in a Cadillac, with all electronics systems functional, is quite another story.

It's hard to say which sounds better, I've never heard either in person knowing what the owner was running. I tend to like Flowmasters though, in general.

Do you know which model of nagnaflow? 50's are deep, 44s are a little louder IIRC.

I knew all of this when I had a custom cat back put on my Lincoln, but I don't remember now. You'd be better off looking on their site.
