I remember some talk awhile back about possibly making a car that doesnt have it, have it. Something about the actual board having contacts for it. But anyway Im looking at a switch panel on ebay from an 01' Seville. Id like to have that option. But maybe its only 03-04?

The Catera had auto-up on all four windows. It had a resistance sensor, so that you couldn't crush fingers, and god-knows-what else, as the window traveled up to close. If you can convert your STS, I doubt you'd have this resistance sensing feature. Just my 2 cents. Good luck. |

But id only want the front windows to have this feature. So if I could get my hands on an 03 master window switch that would be great.

All four are express down, and the two fronts, are also express up. So your search years have just expanded. Maybe someone with an '01 will chime in.

If it detects something preventing the window from closing completely, it will open the window to a factory preset position. The rocker switch has five positions:

I bought some stuff from this place (dealership in CA) already, they helped me out alot with what I needed. I searched 2003 Seville, this is the best that I thought would help you. Try giving them a call, they seemed to be real knowledgable... I hope they would be... in helping you find what you want and answer your questions. Good luck. |

Express Close | My LR window switch was broken so I when I was repairing it, I made some tests. When button is pressed into first position, it connects only "UP" or "DOWN" to ground. When pressed into second position, it connect both EXPRESS and direction (UP or DOWN) to the ground.
So I tried to connect EXPRESS+UP+GND manually but it did not work, it is not just about connecting the right wires, but also some logic does apply. I assume this logic is in the DDM. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
