Ok let me settle this for once and for all. I sell cars and buy them from auto auctions (dealer not public). Any Cadillac motor of any year will do 250K miles if it is half way taken car of. The issue is the cost of fixing any electrical issues you may have or diagnosing them.
The Northstar my friend will do more that 250K believe me so that is not the issue but rather the fact that the car you are looking at is way over priced. Sad to say but the early 90's Cadillac still had some quality issues with materials but that engine is golden and is a keeper.
I have personally owned over 18 European cars and they are the cars you do not want to buy old. They will always give you electrical issues and sometimes even engine troubles way before any Cadillac.
Maintainance is more important than mileage on thses cars. But either way 7500 is WAY TOO MUCH for a 93 with 120K. These cars will go into the upper 180,000-200,000 mile range but you have to stay on top of it. Same as any other car really with aluminum engine components.
