Rear Spring removal & install questions 93-02 Eldorado / 93-97 Seville
I am preparing to install the racing springs in my 02 Eldorado.
1. Can the springs be removed safely without compressors like the front coils on most RWD cars using a floor jack? My concern is the bend that the springs have when the lower arms are fully extended.
2. If so, can the replacement springs be installed in the reverse manor? They will be a little shorter, but almost as stiff a little over 520 pounds instead of the stock 275
3.Is there a trick to bending the springs for this installation?[/SIZE]

Cool. I pulled the replacement springs from the donor car at the salvage yard today between jobs. It took an hour and a half. At current length they are 489 lbs. / inch. Depending on how much I cut them, they should be between 525 and 575 .I will then adapt SVT Cobra shocks to get them tamed.
