Insulation reattachment... whats the trick?
On my drivers door, the pice of foam insulation is coming off. It is the one n the back of the door frame right around where the latch is. It is pulled partly out. I can not figure out for the life of me how to put it back on.
It has lttel foam nubs on the back of it that push into holes. Only prob is when i try to push it in a hole the foam compresses and wont go in. There are about 8 i have to push back in.
I want to get this fixed cus there is a decent amount of wind noise there when the insulation is falling off (its almost as loud as my S10's doors when on the highway).
so whats the trick?

You need a long, straight, BLUNT-TIPPED tool like a small screwdriver with a shaft diameter smaller than the hole, with the tip cut off. You can then push in on the piece and it stretches into the hole.
To be honest though, I'm used to seeing these held in place by plastic push clips, or screws.

there are 2 plastic clips holding it in... one on the very top.. and one on the very bottom... its everywhere else that is pulled out
