On export Sevilles, there is an AUX option when you scroll through sources using the source button. I believe I read that it can be unlocked with a few button presses on the NAV screen, but I can't find the thread now.

It is factory installed. And essentially useless. At least on US cars.

CDROM based nav (00-01) came with factory aux inputs in the glove box on all domestic cars. No idea how to set the, as source though. Best bet is the CDROM nav manual.

Double tap the upper right button that says 'menu' with an music note and a tv icon.

You should be able to select the AUX input from the screen.

I had a 2000 STS with nav and the same jacks. I plugged a DVD player into them. Couldn't get them to do anything either.

Damn cadillac giving non Americans a feature, and leaving it on the domestic cars but with no use.

We're also missing headlight washers, rear fog lights, power folding mirrors and side indicator lights...

Wait a minute, you mean you guys do not get the folding mirrors? I knew about the rear foglights and headlight washers...

We don't get the 'thick' bumpers, cornering lamps and DRL's...

    Ontopic:
It's been a while since I've drivin mine, but I'll be taking it out for a drive soon. Will look into it then, and I'll be sure to post it step by step.
Can't imagine why it would be 'locked out' for you guys...

What I do know is that the video input will not work while in Drive. I simply use the audio inputs for an Bluetooth adapter, so I can play my music. Sound plays, and the screen goes to the 'home' screen or Navigation, depending on what you have selected.

Will get back to you soon though!

Nope, no power folding mirrors. And out of everything, those would be the most useful parking in and around Boston. My drivers side mirror has been whacked twice.

The fog lights would be cool, if not very useful (we don't get "real" fog like you guys very often). The dual filament bulb is actually in the socket though, with the brighter filament unused.

Headlight washers would be nice when driving in the snow on salted roads. But just make an unnecessary mess in the summer.

I'd like to add the side markers. Easy enough.

The shorter bumper... Meh. I like both.

Some people disable the DRLs. I like how the car looks with the DRLs and fogs on in the daylight.

    Re: Mystery glovebox video/audio inputs

Okay, went out for a drive yesterday so I took some pictures on how our European models get to select the Aux option:

First press menu, you'll get this screen:

I don't know the layout of the US screens, but you can clearly see we have a TV option, so in your case I would suspect the lower middle button. Then you get:

And on the lower bar you can select Aux/Video. Then it should work... Let me know if it works for you, didn't suspect these systems to be any different...

    @Moistcabbage
What!? Woow, never thought you guys wouldn't have the power folding mirrors... It is a nice feature, use them everytime I back in and drive out of the garage!
As for the foglights, I do wonder if the wiring is anydifferent... Don't know!

Explain sidemarkers, you mean the little orange bulb between the weelarch and cornering lamp? Or the side turn indicator located between the weelarch and drivers door?

Whish I had the thicker bumpers though, would gives the car more stance imho... But I guess, shorter bumpers are better for so that people are less bound to bump into your car while parking...

As for the DRL's, check this topic:
