flickering dash lights 300K miles 96 eldo

My wife noticed her dash lights flickering but not noticable on the head lights.
On the digital display the voltage goes from 13.3 to14.6 in variable increments about three times a second. Almost to fast to read.
Could it be such a low milage alternator could be failing? It's the original. Or could it be a relay ratcheting somewhere.
There are no other indications I can see.
    Dave

DIC or a control module losing a ground ??? Look at your stored DTCs.

Steady headlights or minimal lighting fluctuation during load changes doesn't point a finger at the alternator or voltage regulator............ even an alternator connector problem would affect the whole system.

Thats what is so weird about it. The voltage on the DIC changes so fast you can hardly read it.
I'll pull the codes probably this weekend unless it blows before then.

Pulling codes takes 1.5 minutes and a notepad. Sitting in the driveway or waiting for sushi.

True but the car isn't here now.
Maybe the head lights not flickering are due to some kind of dampening in the HID circuits?

If you've installed an HID kit, the ballasts will keep the voltage to the bulbs constant.

That was my thinking on it also.
The car won't be here till late and leaves before daylight but I'll read the codes when I can.

The only codes are TC and RS and converter clutch nothing else before it finishes the readout.
Not much help there. I started it after reading the codes and the voltage is still flittering around like a butterfly.
