How do I move the seats with no power...
Stopped by the yard an hour till close just to take a quick walk thru. I found something that a buddy of mine is in need of- the drivers side seat belt buckle. The seat is currently all the way back though, so I can't get to the bolts to undo it.
Can I hotwire the seat control with a dewalt battery? That's what I usually use to test powered stuff like antennas and such. Not quite sure how to go about the seat though...
Good luck, I'd love to know if you figure it out. My driver seat hasn't worked since I got my car. I would be happy with adjusting it one time and leaving it. I've tried jumping the ground, and power wires on the harness. Also tried jumping the serial data buss from the door to the seat, still no go.

I upholstered the seat, in place, disconnected the drive shafts from the motor, and turned them manually, each a little at a time. Took a while. this was in a last gen Seville. Not sure if it would work for an Eldo.
The harness connected to the seat has:
1. Thick orange wire -Battery voltage
2. Thick black wire - Ground
3. Purple thin wire - Data Line
Assuming you don't trust the vehicle electrical system anymore and you can get to the wires underneath the seat (like dead central) then you disconnect the harness and apply the power to the seat directly (sure hope that seat is not in its lowest position).
