Which front wheel bearing assembly for 97 STS

I dont want to pay the 80 bucks for a timkin but some of the parts on Rock auto have a little diffrent look and ABS connection I am not sure which one I need.

I have a strong groning sound from my front right but no ABS light up. I dont think I need the wheel assembly either. A little help on what I need to replace just the barring. The car is going to die soon anyway I just need to keep it on the road til summer.

Re: Which front wheel bearing for 97 STS

The hub assembly is the ONLY way to replace the bearing, they are not serviceable as a separate component. $80 is CHEAP for a wheel bearing, look at the price of an OEM ACDelco, you'll crap yourself.

I totally agree with curtc -
$80 for a Timken bearing is cheap - and will last -

but if you just want CHEAP -
here ya go - $25 - with free shipping -
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/FRONT-WHEEL-...431353&vxp=mtr

NOT something I would ever use - or recommend -
    but it IS cheap -

I believe I paid ~$200 each for the AcDelco back in summer when I replaced the front ones. Add some tax and shipping and it was pretty darn close to $500 the total.

I got one for 95$ at auto zone. I replaced it and the noise did not go away. Sure sounded like the pass front but I was expecting it to go away.it did get a little better tho. The drive shaft wild not growl like a bad bearing would it? Maybe it the other side. Kind of a pain to get those things out.

If it was an AZ Don'tLast part you can't rule it out.

    Maybe it the other side.
The offending baring will growl louder when loaded making a turn and quiet down when unloaded turning in the opposite direction.
