Hey guys so recently my car started vibrating. It's weird because I can hear it more than I can feel it. I also feel like it's stronger once put in gear (reverse or drive) the car has new ac delco spark plugs, new wires all 4 new ignition coils, what could be causing the vibration? A motor mount? I haven't ran the codes just yet but I did so a while ago and I don't really remember seeing anything that would be the cause of this. Any help please? I'm just really trying to get this car to the best shape I can get it and the vibrating is annoying and kind of embarrassing (lol)

    Re: Vibrating seville.

What's "vibrating" ??? The steering wheel, seats, body at speed or the engine at idle or upon acceleration ?

Did you connect the coils/wires/plugs correctly ? Are the ICM ground wire terminals cleaqnm and tight ?

    Re: Vibrating seville.

Vibration is usually caused by a rotating part, tire or wheel imbalance is the most likely cause, but a bad front motor mount has been know to cause this.

I believe you might be confusing the "audience" with your terminology -

VIBRATING usually refers to rolling-related problems -
out of balance tires - bent wheels - etc -
and judging by your description - that is NOT it -

if your "vibration" is happening at idle -
    you have a misfire -

    what can cause it? -
vacuum leaks - dirty throttle body -
defective new parts - LOTS of things -

    check for codes -

    Re: Vibrating seville.

Sorry guys. Well to me it feels like it's vibrating, it only happens at idle. When I'm in park it happens also when I'm waiting at a red light or something. I checked the codes and there is no misfire code which is P0300 right? or something like that. Anyways also I didn't do the coils, wires, plugs myself so I'm not sure, but I mean when they were first done the car ran so smooth it was amazing and now all of a sudden this is happening.

If it's at idle you can rule out wheels.

A slight misfire will not set a DTC. When my '97 Deville had a misfire I had to brake torque it to 2000 RPM and hold it for a few seconds before it threw the P0300 and lit the MIL.
