Question about replacing part on rear suspension 02 Seville

I'm not sure what the name of part 26 is, connects to the control arm. Its pretty much the only original suspension component left on my car and I would like to replace it. The rubber is very warn on I feel like there is some rear sway. Do I need to drop the rear sub-frame in order to replace it? I don't think the rear sub-frame has ever been dropped and I worry about the bolts being rusted and snapping.

It's the rear suspension adjustment link. Not positive, but I think all you'll have to do is get a floor jack under #24.

    No subframe drop required.

you better order the adjusting cams too -
    parts 16 - 17 - and 18 -
you will need two sets - one for each side -

When that is worn out, how does that affect the ride?

Re: Question about replacing part on rear suspension 02 Seville

You do have to drop the rear of the subframe, the alignment bolts (item 16) holding the adjustment cams in place will hit the gas tank before they come all the way out of the subframe. Just remove bolts 19 and lower the rear edge by about 6 inches. Might as well replace those rear support bushings while your there. May have to pull your rear exhaust dwon a little, if so just undo the donuts at the rear bumper. I had my whole subframe out last year replacing those lower control arms, (that's what they are called), both rear control arms and all the bushings on my subframe, its not a horrible job as long as no bolts snap off.
