    I got my seat bottom cover off of my 2000 Seville without taking the seat out of the car so it is possible, if only the lower heater pad is the issue, the cover hooks under the rear edge of the seat fram with a plastic u shaped channel, once you get that off the cover will peal off the lower frame pretty easily. 99 percent of the broken heater wires are in the outer side bolster near the front corner of the drivers seat. That's where most of the seat wear occurs as the driver gets in and out of the car.

    Front Seat Replacement - Bucket

    Removal Procedure
    Caution: Refer toSIR Handling Caution in Cautions and Notices.


    1.Disable the SIR System. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
    2.Move the seat to the full forward position.
    3.Remove the seat track fastener adjuster covers.
    4.Remove the seat track fasteners.
    5.Move the seat to the full rearward position.
    Notice: Do NOT tilt the front seat forward because this will damage the seat storage tray.
    6.Remove the front seat storage tray. Refer to Front Seat Storage Tray Replacement (See: Front Seat Storage Tray Replacement) .
    7.Recline the seat back fully rearward.
    8.Tilt the seat forward and disengage the front mounting points from the floor.
    9.Disconnect the electrical connectors.
    10.With the aid from an assistant, remove the seat from the vehicle.

    Installation Procedure
    1.With the aid from an assistant, install the seat into the vehicle
    2.Engage the front seat tracks into the slots in the floor pan.
    3.With seat tilted forward, connect the electrical connectors.
    Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
    4.Lower the rear of the seat and tighten the outer anchor bolt first, then the inner anchor bolt last.
    Tighten the seat anchor bolts to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
    5.Install the inner seat track adjuster trim cover.
    6.Move the seat to the full rearward and upward position.
    7.Install the front seat storage tray. Refer to Front Seat Storage Tray Replacement (See: Front Seat Storage Tray Replacement)
    8.Enable the SIR System. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.

    Notice that the new replacement elements do NOT include bolster heaters - seat pad/back pads only.
