Yeah, I know about the basics. I've got 4 cars at the house. I do all the maintenance on them. Since u'all know "that 4.5 and that particular transmission" so well, figured u'all could short list me on the things that have to be addressed at 150,000 miles on those particular models. U know, the things that usually require rebuilding or re-purchasing on 88's in general. I think someone mentioned it's a definite "yes" on rebuilding the tranny at that mileage.-Thanks.

There no "definite yes" on having to rebuild anything on any car at a certain mileage. The transmission in that car could fail tomorrow, or be trouble free for the next 25K, 50K, 100K... There's absolutely no way to tell. Check the fluid. Pink/red and no burnt smell? Good. Take the car out and floor it in all the gears. Does it slip? No? Then it's fine...today.

The car is somewhere between a #3 and #2 in condition.

I like that car on eBay except for the tan interior. If it had been black, that would have made it perfect, but I do love the exterior body style.

IIRC, that was the only interior color option for the first gen STS.
