Well I won the case. A whopping $497 including $50 in legal fees..... Thanks a lot.

So in a nutshell, I paid $1,162 for a brand new product. This guy put it on, and now 4 of 7 parts are damaged and it's out of warranty. Now I have to pay $715 to get back to where I started - a new, undamaged, warrantied part.

    No, I can't appeal it.

That sucks MC. At least you got a good portion of the money. With your luck lately I'd call it a win.

Kind of covered all of the bases the first time. Plus, still have to get the $497 from them, and they can appeal if they want.

Maybe I'll send him a threatening letter and include this picture. He was sitting in my friends basement, I tried to take a picture, and he moved. Looks posessed:

What if the exhaust installer were to see this discussion ?

During the arbitration hearing was there ANY mention of CF and the advice given therein ?

Well for the record, I was kidding.

No reference to CF specifically, just that I know of several people on a forum that have installed the same system on the same car without issue.

The ding dong is welcome to read anything I've posted here about him and his laughable work.

Sorry it didn't work out completely.... But at least the ruling was in your favor and you got something. I call it a win.

Was it a small claims court? I think you yourself should collect the money right? Hope at least it goes easy.

How is your case against the city about your damaged wheel going?

It was small claims court. I have to find out what to do next on Monday.

Get this, if the city's insurance company decides that the city was negligent in fixing the pothole, they DON'T pay... . So I guess I'd have to take the city to court in that case? I may be out. $600 there too...'

This can be different from state to state, but my understanding is that there is very little enforcement in collecting small claims court judgment.

It seems that you may need a good lawyer for both cases! I know a good one in your city; Alan Shore @ Crane, Poole & Schmidt!

Looks like you were awarded the cost of the damaged pieces- resonator & tips.
The hanger can be cut off & welded under the pipe. The mufflers are useable.
