Had court this morning. I tried a mediator (which I knew wouldn't work, but it looks good for me at trial). He was moronic and rude to the mediator, some real stupid stuff came out of his mouth... . Anyway, it's going to go to trial next.

You do not automatically get paid if you should win.
If he doesn't care to pay you, you will need to go after him.
You'll need to know where he does his banking.

Oh, and, are you gonna let him install the new one?

Oh I'll go after him if I have to. I believe there's also a way to have his wages garnished.

And um, no, he's not putting the new system in. I'll take it to the shop who's done my exhaust work for almost 10 years. Bay State Muffler (formerly Lou's Custom Exhaust) of Peabody.

    Re: Vroom Vroom...

I answered your PM - For your evidence file, download the color instruction sheets from the CORSA site - and they're packed with each system. The first page is clearly marked to "Follow the directions" and the install is so simple even a caveman could do it.

If I did a writeup of my installs it would mirror the printed instructions - including the CORSA caution to "Measure twice, cut once".

    I forgot I hadn't posted these.

Two chips/gouges in the tip that fell (only one is really visible in the picture):

    More tip damage:

    Obviously wrong:

    Obviously wrong:

System mounted too far backwards, being pulled upward by the upswing hangars:

    Re: Vroom Vroom...

Lousy work - all around. My system is 6.5 years old and the tips are glittering, polished s/s - not a scratch.

Look closely at this picture: The cat pipe hanger bar goes UNDER the pipe, not over. I think the resolution is high enough that a picture editor could be used to zoom and crop.

We do alot of custom hot rod exhaust work, and if I let a car go like that, I would expect to find it driven through a bay door in the morning!

    Re: Vroom Vroom...

This was done by member Joe Tahoe - same pipe orientation. Note how the hanger rod tips turn down.

I believe the hanger rod on MC's installation has been bent and modified. It does not look the same.

Yup. Made obvious by the compressed hangers.

Here's my system laid out before install - note the cat pipe hanger rod. Zoom in on the tips. Note the red caution warning on the instruction folder.

wow this is really a mess. It is so easy to install my 6 yr old grand daughter helped me with it. MC you have some really bad luck. you could take a overnight trip and let me and you install the next one at my shop. I would be so pissed. This is one more reason I am glad I can do my own work. The only time any one touches our cars is for alighnment and NYS inspections and that is the same shop

What size shoe you wear MC...I'll send you a pair to replace the one you broke off in him...

That is a completely ridiculous they way they botched that install. I do the same as JoeTahoe and no one touches the car after some of the crap shops have pulled on me too. I just need a balance and no more tire installs either.

MC, I don't want to rub salt in the wound, but please check the exhaust flex coupling just ahead of the cat. If that has been torqued out of line, it's entirely possible that it has sustained strains or damage.

    Lol, size 14 quad E.

Trust me, if I had access to a lift, or at least solid level floor (my private way is uneven gravel) I would do nearly everything myself.
