At 65 mph and slightly noticable at a steady 45 mph my '99 ETC exhibits a surging in the engine. Feels like the gas pedal is being slowly pumped while cruising along.
I put my foot into it hard...... it's fine.
I have new plugs, new fuel filter, and new IAC.
    Has almost 125,000 miles
Other than some pesky oil leaks it runs like a brand new Cadillac.

I forgot to mention that the local Cadillac dealer replaced the fuel pressure regulator type thing about a month ago when I dropped it off to them. It displayed a sevice engine light and the dealer pulled some codes.
The work they did knocked the service light out but it didn't get rid of the surge.

    Welcome Aboard !!!

Study the proper year/model section of the sticky thread ^^^ "How to pull codes" from your car's built-in diagnostic code system.

You may have a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) fault, and that's a monitored sensor.

Write down any codes found and return to the sticky to open the link to code definitions for your OBD-II system. Post all found codes and their descriptions here.

Yes, 2 names was my fault. I'm on automotive enthusiast message boards and mixed them up a few weeks ago when logging into this one using another login.
    My screw up, very sorry.

With the six message boards I'm on I have different logins and mixed them up good between the 2 Cadillac boards I use.
    Yes, my fault entirely.

I think it does. Someone who remembers the procedure and setting will chime in.

No setup? Well, guess that makes the job simple. I'll pick one up Monday or Tuesday and give it a whirl.
    Thanks!
