I will have to pay my $500.00 deductible. Then, once Geico has the accident report, they will chase the Neon's ins co for reimbursement. If they recieve 100%, I will receive all $500.00 back. If they receive 50% back I will get $250.00 back. Although it will be bad to have to pay even $.10, if Geico gets 80% or better, I will be happy. They said it could take 2 weeks, or 4 months, to settle with the other ins comp. I will just have to be patient.
Well the Seville looks great again. I had the bumper cover replaced last week. All of the exhaust compnents came in yesterday, and they installed them, this morning. Although I was hoping to get a Corsa exhaust system installed, the stock system, is looking terrific right now. I had several arguments with the body shop over the tips. They (and Geico) stated I needed the stock (the ones that came with the car from the factory) tips. I swapped the big oval tips for the "quad" tips several months ago. I insisted on getting the "quad" tips. After all it ended okay. I have the quad tips, and it looks great.
My 2001 STS, was hit at some point last night (it was parked on the street), the rear bumper was hit on the left hand side. Could you give me an idea how much it cost to replace the rear bumper cover? :rolleyes2
Thanks. I think they did great also. RERM, a new bumper cover, paint, realign the back-up sensors, etc. was about $875.00. I am sure that is not what you wanted to hear, but that is what the estimate, from Geico, came out to. The bumper cover alone was $300.00. Sorry to hear of your misfortune.
Looks Nice! Too bad you didn't manage to negotiate a Corsa exhaust in the deal. It might even have come cheaper for the insurers with the price of dealer parts these days.
