Turn key and nothing happens. All lights and radio work. After trying and trying to start it eventually starts. Had new ignition cylinder replaced, bypassed vat key. Any ideas?????:hmm:

Battery is good, cables are clean. Once I get it started in the morning it starts fine the rest of the day. Was told it could be the passlock sensor?
I will check the wires to the starter but I don't think that is bad. How do you check to see if the ignition switch is good? Thanks everyone for the replies. I love this site already
No they are not! Lock cylinder unlocks the steering wheel, completes the Pass Key code verification and moves the rod in the ignition switch down on the steering column. I presume the cylinder was replaced to possibly fix a PassKey mis communication.
There is no such thing as PassLock sensor.
If you have issues with the Theftlock is pretty obvious there is a message on the dashboard telling "Starting disabled"
The reason it starts after it's driven is heat expansion. A few degrees will expand the cable eyelet enough to work for the day. After overnight cooling........
Its not as hard as most folks think it is. I replaced my starter this past spring, easy peezy
