    1991 eldorado radio removal

There seems to be a problem with the connection from the antenna to the radio. Ive worked it out that the antenna came loose from the back of the radio and I need to take it out and tighten the connection. I figure this happened when the alarm was installed because the red LED is right near the radio. I cant figure out how to get the radio out. Theres a little grill above the radio that when removed shows 3 screws. I remove those and one above the steering wheel to remove the face off the panel but it seems something is still holding it on. Any attempt to pull the panel off causes it to bend, pull too hard and I can tell it will break.

Anyone know how to do this?

There should be 3 above the steering wheel and 1 inside the HVAC duct to the left of the steering wheel

Correct. I just did this today actually on my 1990 eldo.

3 screws above the instrument panel/ steering wheel. Have to carefully pry out the driver side air vent, and remove the one screw there. You can now remove the dash panel.

Loosen the 2 bottom bolts on the radio (you don't have to remove them, if you do you may lose them into the abyss) loosen them up enough where you can lift up the radio over the plastic catch underneath/center and the radio will slide right out.

Anyhow, old thread but in case anyone needs the info.
