93 eldo touring coupe, 105k
10-13 city, 18-21 highway on regular gas
sucks, might have to try premium again, the 3.71 (or whatever they are, close to that) don't help
new air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, wires at 85K
have a fuel pump problem, need to check the FPR again(checked it once and it seemed ok)

Re: How many MPG are you getting in your N* Seville/Eldo?

In city driving the fuel consumption of my 2001 STS (European model) is nothing I'd like to talk about in public... but I'm really surprised by how relatively moderate the consumption is on the highway, given the enormous power this thing has. Just last week I drove 400 miles from Amsterdam to Southern Germany and really kicked it hard (AVERAGE speed of 100 mph, and going as fast as 130 mph when possible) and got 19 MPG. I've done the same trip in a more relaxed fashion (going about 80-90 mph) and got 23.5 MPG. The 25 MPG point is at about 75 mph for me.

1995 seville STS, 92,000 miles. I drive 50 miles round trip to work down I95, cruise set at 65mph, getting 26mpg.

Better than my pick up, only getting 12mpg.

Re: How many MPG are you getting in your N* Seville/Eldo?

Same - 16,17,18 in town, 23.5 - 25 on the Interstates, mostly Shell/Texaco 87. That's since 11/21/05, using both long-term average (I never reset it, ever) and short-term DIC + hand calculating mpg at fillups. Myself and a passenger, maybe some luggage.

Re: How many MPG are you getting in your N* Seville/Eldo?

Before my 2 12" subs I was getting about 25-26 freeway, 65mpg Cruise Control and now I get only 23-25mpg. My avg shows 18-20 depending if I do city driving trips.

I only use V-Power from Shell, I tried using 91 from Chevron but it doesn't last as long. I can usually get 4-6 days out of a full tank of V-Power and that's about 45miles round trip 5-6 days a week plus I do some street driving at least 3 times a week.

Re: How many MPG are you getting in your N* Seville/Eldo?

The base models - Deville, Eldorado, SLS - all have the 275hp/3.11 final drive package which is a highway/gas mileage lover.

The "performance" models - DTC/Concours, ETC, STS - have the 300hp/3.71 final drive package which has a bit more low-end spirit but winds higher on the highway so it gives up about 2 mpg or so.

Re: How many MPG are you getting in your N* Seville/Eldo?

I have a 1999 Seville STS, every thing is in perfect form in this car, but my MPG is terrible! Do you know what is wrong with this car? Its driver! I use this car mainly for city driving, with a lot of stop and go and my MPG is around 13! From any take of from stops, for example red lights, my Caddi should be the first and all others should eat my dust! But the result of this becomes average 13 MPG with premium gas!:O

Re: How many MPG are you getting in your N* Seville/Eldo?

You and the city are the problem. 13 mpg under those conditions is entirely normal - don't forget that when you're sitting at idle the engine is happily burning gas (with a/c on, a lot) and your gas mileage is 0, so that factors into the average.

Re: How many MPG are you getting in your N* Seville/Eldo?

My 1998 SLS gets about 17.2-17.5 mixed driving, short freeway and city, I usually run 91 Shell but my last fill up doing that I only got 16.5 so I tried Walmart 87 and now i am getting 17.6 go figure, I drive the same path and pattern everyday, but I cant complain, My wife's 05 esv gets 12.7 on good days

Re: How many MPG are you getting in your N* Seville/Eldo?

My '95 STS gets 29 mpg on long freeway hawls at 70 mph using Shell Premium. Around town it gets 15 more or less depending on traffic. The "02 SLS gets 27-28 mpg at 70 on long freeway hawls (VA to NJ and back) and around 15 more or less around town on Shell Regular.
