How does it fair against the competition, sharing the Autobahn? Does it get looked at a lot?

If our highways here, didn't go through towns and cities and have so many exits/entrances we would be able to go faster, more safely--as you do on the Autobahn. |

City/highway mix: 20.2 MPG
Recent 350 miles roundtrip road trip, all higway mileage, at average speed in excess of 65 mph (per DIC readout): 25.9 MPG (Add'l info: No passengers. Trunk lightly loaded with my travel bags and laptop. Riding on Michelin HydroEdge tires @ 35 psi, some rain and cross-winds during trip).
All city (stop & go) driving: 17 MPG
My wife wants to "take over" my SLS and "make" me drive her YUKON XL. Reason? To save gas. I told her to stop making those twice-a-day trips to Starbucks | How many MPG on that YUKON XL? Must be painful. :disappoin |

I get 15-17 city, lots of parking lots and stop lights. Highway runs 25-27 mpg usually driving 70mph, but living in Los Angeles driving that fast is a rare occasion on account of the horrible traffic. The car seems to get better mileage at night, could it be colder air = more power and better MPG?
It sure beats my old 500 powered 78 Deville. 13-14 highway and 10 city if I'm lucky. |

'84 Eldo (I know it's not a N*, but I thought I would chim in anyway). 25 Highway, 16.6 Mixed driving on regular gas. I'm guessing pure city driving to be in the 13-15 range. The 25 highway was at 65mph for about 20 miles down and back. This is based on what the computer says, that is very close to the actual numbers.
I'm happy with these numbers for an older car.
Does anybody have any numbers for '76? Friends of mine had one, and they were in the single digits. |

So far, 18-20 city, 23 highway, overall 20mpg average. I'd like to get a few more highway mpg. Highway speeds for the 23mpg are typically below 80. At higher speeds, I drop to about 18-19 mpg.
I'm going to replace the plugs and wires soon, hopefully it will help a little. I'll also do a compression test while I'm at it. |

Seriously though, my wife averages 14 - 15 MPG. Everytime I fill her up (the Yukon, not my wife) I must apply for a new equity line of credit. If things don't improve, soon, I am going to have to buy her a Ford hybrid SUV. |

i have a remote starter on my chrylser, so i could get in a warm toasty car on those friggid mornings up here (before i got the caddy) and i noticed a bit of a decrease in mpg, but then i would let it run for about 10-20 minutes before i eventually left.
i am toying with getting a remote starter for the Seville for the next winter, but i don't know if i want to have someone tearing apart this car. it's a bit nicer than the chryser and i like the stock remotes |

A 76 Seville is a lot smaller and I'd expect more along the lines of 12-13 city. |

I've been getting about 15 in town, roasting it not too often, kind of sad actually, when it cost you 5 dollars to get across town in rush hour, I'm a teen and that's an hour of work!
