Yeah, GM flat priced just about all the keys they sell a year or so ago

    non-chip keys are $10
    chip keys are $34

    makes it easy to quote

2002-2006 escalade owners got the best deal out of it
since their keys went from about $60 or so to $10

Does the rear end look high to you Seville guys or is it just me? Seems rather high to my eye. The ELC compressor works and I have no exhaust valve solenoid DTC.

Ranger, that is about exactly how mine sets now that I have the Monroe coil over conversion. Still haven't gotten used to the height. But according to most on this board, that looks "perfect"

Most SLSs I see sit a little high, but that doesn't look right at all.

Suspicions confirmed. Thanks guys. I'll look into it more when I get it up on a lift in a few days to change out the EOP switch.

Just as easy to find pictures of them with lower ride heights.

FSM specs would tell you for sure.

Re: Another Caddy In The Stable

Hmm, it DOES look normal when compared to Ryannel's pic. Maybe I'm looking for a boogie man, especially since almost everything else is in god shape and works.

I don't have a FSM for it so I have no curb height spec's for it.

Re: Another Caddy In The Stable

What is the tire size ? The original tires on that car had an OD of 27.1 " - door sticker tire size, specs in TireRack.

The body height and stance looks about right ....... but picture comparisons are difficult: ANY different tire or wheel size will show different amounts of 'fenderwell' for different cars - even the same model line.

The only way to accurately check ride height is to do the suspension measurements with the car up on a level drive-on lift.

Here's what you'll see in the GM manual - these are for the F55 suspension - but they give you an idea of what to measure. Click the thumbnail, use the browser <- to back out.

Re: Another Caddy In The Stable

I did the same search as Ryan, up here in Ontario.

There are only 3 SLS' for sale in Ontario, and they all sit high.

I thought your daughter's car rode high, but that was based on owning 5 STS'.
Can't get over how high the SLS' seem to ride in the back, but it would seem normal.

Re: Another Caddy In The Stable

Sub, the car has OEM size tires, 225/60R-16.

Maybe I'll load the rear end later and let it level off and then see if it exhausts when I unload it. That should tell the tale. I'll post the results later.

Re: Another Caddy In The Stable

We both sat on the trunk sill. Compressor came on and lifted the rear end as it should. We got off and I did not hear it vent. I pulled the line off the shock to vent it. Now that said, I can't recall if I ever have heard it vent before. I don't know if I should or if the venting is very slow and quiet. Again, maybe I'm looking for a boogie man.
