If it's the same bulb that's under the steering wheel audio controls, it's radioshack 272-1092 (#7219)

Love the '04 with the updated engine. That car's basically trouble free. (of course if you exclude small things! lol)

    Vincent,
It's called Medium Spiral Gray Metallic.

    Maeng,
I called Radio Shack and they say they don't have it. When I search the Radio Shack site they show up, but do not give the wattage. Now that I have a number, maybe I'll call them back. Thanks for the part number. That should be a big help.

No problem, the 272-1092 box seem to say it's 60mA...so, 0.72W? I don't think the buttons require very bright bulbs like a 5W.

Re: Another Caddy In The Stable

Well, that was the wrong bulb. I could tell the minute I looked at it. Went home, took the console panel off, removed the switch, dismantled it and went back to Radio Shack with the circuit board and bulb. They did have them. I de-soldered the old ones and soldered in the new ones and they work. I even surprised myself. It was like micro surgery.

    The correct bulb is 272-1154

    12v
    50mA
    Bulb type: T-1
    Base style: Bi-Pin
Light Output 0.12MSCP (whatever that means)

WA812K, 812K, U812K. It seems to go by several different codes, but all have 812K in it. U 812K is what is on the RPO sticker in the trunk.

    P.S.
I need the spray can. The small brush on bottles are readily available, but I don't think Duplicolor makes this one in a spray. I can have one custom made for me down the road for $26 + tax.

Re: Another Caddy In The Stable

As usual, the car came with one remote and one key, so needing a spare key I stopped in at Ace Hardware on the way home from buying the bulbs. They had the PK3 keys for $69 After I retrieved my jaw from the counter the guy tells me that they are on sale (normally $80) and that the dealer will charge about $120. Thanks, but no thanks. I just bought one on Ebay for $7.89 with free shipping. I love Ebay!
