You're welcome to try my friend. I bow to anyone who can remove it.

Actually, here's an idea. Keep the wood knob around, and wait until a cold winters day when everything is contracted. See if it won't come off then.

Re: Another Caddy In The Stable

For all the beating and pressure I have put on it, I doubt a little contraction is going to make the difference.

Tomorrow she gets a set of torque struts. Then a coolant change as soon as the EOP switch arrives (I want to kill two birds with one stone while I am under her).

Found a few lights out in the console. Gotta see if I can get to them without pulling the shift knob. Been a while since I've been in there so I forget.

Rear pass through hatch latch was not working. Fixed that yesterday. Should have all the bugs worked out and up to my standards soon .

Your daughters are very lucky girls to have their own car trouble shooter and fixer for a father!

Yeah, I hope they appreciate that. Some day they will when they have to pay for this work.

As a former such daughter, if they don't now, they most assuredly will one day.

    Roger that.

OK guys. I need some help. I was able to get the need bulb (after 2 trips to AZ) and got the PRNDL123 light back on. That bulb was a plug in, but one of the seat heater buttons and the T/C button do not light. I was able to disassemble them and confirm that they are bad (no continuity), but these are VERY small and are soldered in place. Anyone know where to get replacements and a part number maybe? Already called Radio Shack. No luck there.

Yeah, a return trip to the Men's Mall might be in the offing, but I was hoping someone knew where to get theses damned things. It's been discussed often enough.

Torque struts are in and I now see the difference you Seville guys where talking about. Had to do a little modification from the Deville application.

Re: Another Caddy In The Stable

OK, I've found what may be the correct bulbs online, though I am still not 100% sure. Apparently they are a G4 base, but what wattage do we use to light up our IP buttons, 5w,10w, 20w, 30w, 50w? Sure would be simpler to just go to the store and buy them, but I have no idea who would carry them.
