The damping would change to control the body roll during cornering - I remember the salesman making a big deal out of it when we test drove the car. |

I don't know how to check the DTC's in your car though. You might have to take it to a dealer or something and have them check it. Its probably suspension though. |

You do not need an aftermarket scanner or a shop to do it for you. You can do it in your driveway.
Read the sticky thread up in the top threads on the main Seville page titled "How to pull codes", read the whole post, then follow the procedure for your year car. Write down all codes displayed and whether they are Current or History. Do not "clear codes" at this time. Turn the key OFF and return to the sticky and use the link to open the code descriptions - the main menu, blue lines with module/code descriptions.
Decipher your codes and come back here. Be advised that there are three steering wheel position sensor variations and you need to know which one you have before you order a new unit. EDIT: At 0945 I just noticed this thread is 4 years old !!!! Some of the members are no longer here........but, ronron, my advice still stands. Pull your codes for a start point. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
