    97 Seville stumble

My 97 Seville has started a slight rough idle and a "stumble" on acceleration. I've been through the plug wire/spark plug hesitation. This is something different. This feels like a carburetor flooding. Any ideas?

I checked for codes and there were none

Did you use a scan tool, or pull codes through the DIC? Any history codes?

There were history codes. I didn't write them down.
I pulled them through the DIC

The history codes are P0174, P1602, P1632 and P1644. We have been having issues with the VATS key not reading. Could the P1632 Theft Deterrent Fuel Disable Signal Received be doing it?

Vats will keep it from starting not cause running issues.
Post definitions with codes and if current or history.
Bypass vats or get new key before it strands you.

    Re: 97 Seville stumble

I did get a new key... It since developed a strange acting overheat problem. Didn't act like a thermostat or a leak or a clogged radiator. It would just flow out of the overflow after you drove it a fairly long distance. Thinking the worst, I used a CO2 block tester with negative results. (WHEW!!!).
I decided to go after the "miss" thinking it was overworking the engine causing the overheat. I dug out my old inductive timing light and checked the individual wires. Some of the wires were eratic so I threw a set of wires at it. With no improvement I tried replacing the coils. No more hesitation and the cooling problem seems to have disappeared.
Gotta love these cars. Nothing acts normal.
