2000 Eldo A/C comes out of drivers vents only!! heat out of passenger sides!!

    Hello Folks,

I know someone knows what to look for to cure this problem.

tried the dual climate control off/on, but heat only comes out of the passengers side , AC out of Drivers side only.

Is there a vaccum line that controls the vents somewhere.

    Thanks in advance.

    Its friggin hot here,lol

only things that show up are:

    ACM History B1340, 1341
    IRC History B1327
    MSM History B0856,B1983

    ----------

the B1340 1341 is the vent door fault.

is there a way to manually open it, I cleared the codes!!

you do understand that clearing the codes -
does NOT fix - or change the situation -
fault codes are set BECAUSE of a failed - monitored - part -

YES - you could disconnect the actuator from the mix door -
but I doubt it stay in one position -

why not replace the faulty mix door actuators -
and be done with it - the CORRECT WAY?

I understand clearing the codes doenst fix the problem, just thought I would mention it.

Are there any posts that show where and how to change the actuators or how to disconnect and whats involved.

The vacuum actuator valves (#3 & 4) in the lower diagram are just left of center, under the dash. Look at the middle diagram and you can see then on the left side.

There appeared to be a little access door on the back of the glove box that opens up to observe what appears to be the vent motor/vent door (with a rod on top), basically just adjusted it manually so the airflow is proper for the AC air to flow.

Find your bits and pieces in the proper system for your car, model, year in www.gmpartsgiant.com. When you get to the system in question a numbered text page opens. At the top is a "more info" tab - that takes you to a blowup parts diagram keyed to the text page.

Thanks Sub, yes that was in one of the other posts as a link and it popped up to describe all parts , handy indeeed, I figure if it works with out buying parts , thats good forme, ya I know many frown upon this tactic, but Im disabled and every penny counts, and if some feel well then the heat wont work properly come heating season, well I havent used the heat in the car since I owned the vehicle past three years out in Vegas, defroster yes , but straight out im too cold time to put the heat on no. if it got to that point, ill just flick on the seat warmers.

Thanks for all the help , you and the otherforum members are great at helping out us cheap folks, lol,, when it comes to my Vettes , well thats a different story, then Ill repair to the book.

    thanks again, and take care.
