    1993 Eldorado Touring Coupe Antenna

    Hello all,
I'm a first time user looking for some help with an antenna issue. The motor works fine. There is a small nylon cord that seems to be unattached? How do I hook it back up?

    &

You don't reattach it. The cable is broken. You replace it. If you can't find the repair kit at a dealer, check www.antennamastsrus.com. Follow the directions to a T.

    P.S.
There is a very good tutorial in the Tech Tips section.

    P.P.S.
I edited your title to be more descriptive.

I cheated a bit on the repair to my '99 ETC power antenna.
Went to Holland's Used Auto Parts yesterday and pulled a unit from a dead '99 SDV.
Took it home and my wife and I removed the ETC's antenna and in less than an hour had Hollands $25 deal installed and operating.
Toughest part of the job is needing 2 pairs of hands and a couple of small thin blade screwdrivers to pop the clips in the connectors without braking them.
Screw overhauling the old piece of rubbish!

You can always take your chances with a junkyard unit. Just keep in mind that it too is 15-20 years old.

Holland's guarantees the antenna for 30 days. That enough time to run it up and down numerous times.
If 1 month doesn't kill it then I'm ahead by saved money.
