    1999 Eldorado A/C clutch connector/diode

    Does anyone know the function of the ac clutch connector
    I have attached a picture to show what I am talking about

    It's common practice to use a diode to (rapidly) dissipate the voltage induced in a coil when the flux field collapses.

    If you can read a schematic diagram, I can show you how Cadillac did that on your '99 Eldo.

    I am actually asking on behalf of my grandfather. He can read a schematic so if you could post or send the information that would be great.
