    the original lug nuts are a 2-piece unit -

    the actual steel lug nut -
    and a stainless steel cap that threads onto the lug nut -

    it is NOT difficult to screw up the caps -

    personally - I remove the stainless caps BEFORE going to the tire shop -

    then I put them back on -

    that way I KNOW they are on correctly -
    and if one does fall off - I know exactly who to blame - ME -
