Coolant leaking from near where oil pan is. 95 STS

    I have a 1995 Cadillac Seville STS
Coolant is leaking from underneath seems to be from somewhere near or above the oil pan as far as I can tell. The leak seems to happen when the car is not running, just sitting after it cools.
    Any ideas on this?
Someone mentioned a waterpump may need to be replaced?

Re: Help? Coolant leaking from near where oil pan is. 95 Seville STS

Wow !!! Did I ever misread that thread title !!!! Locate the leak accurately. BUT your post text says "oil leak" so who knows. Coolant can run anywhere and drip from locations a foot or so away from the real leak area.......... and the oil pan covers the entire bottom of the engine !

Many pictures and diagrams of engine parts in my 2 albums - the Community tab ^^^, albums, the red Seville.

Edited! Thank goodness it is Friday, I think we may have figured something out, there is evidence of leaking from behind a pulley on the passenger side of the vehicle so maybe it is traveling. I think this is the water pump pulley? I know the water pump is on the back side of the engine (driver side) but would the coolant be leaking behind the pulley on the front if the waterpump is bad?
I am not a mechanic so thanks for the suggestions!

If it is leaking off of the front of the engine it's doubtful that the WP has anything to do with it. From that location I would suspect a hose.
